I have a opportunity to buy a Elite but it is in .45 caliber and ALL my ML supplies are for .50 cal MLs and I have zero experience in .45 caliber MLs especially what type and even more importantly the availability of bullets and sabots that work well in .45 caliber Elites.
So I need to know how many bullets and sabot combos there are out there that will work well out of a .45 cal Elite. I am guessing IIRC that bullets (saboted) that will shoot out of a .45 cal ML are .40(ish) in caliber.
Lastly what FPS can I expect using BH209 out of a .45 cal Elite, IIRC bullet weights for use in a .45 cal Elite with a sabot are in the neighborhood of 195-200 grains in weight.
Thanks for all any any info and help, Arthur.

General use bullets 180gr and 200gr XTP Speer 180gr DeepCurl aka GoldDot A few other 180gr JHPs may work also
Premium hunting bullets for heavier loads Lehigh 185-200gr DOA Barnes 175-195 MZ 200gr SST Hawks 225gr HP
Some odd balls with a few uses Barnes 155gr TAC-XP PR Ultimate 1 360gr QT conical..very expensive for just tipped lead Great Plains 285gr HBHP conical PB Plat 300gr if you get a deal on them 41mag 210gr bullets will sometimes fit in a Harvester LB Crushrib Hard Cast .401 220-260gr Xtreme brand Plated 200-220gr for paper and plinking...really cheap and good weight variation
3 main sabots for 45x40 Harvester light blue Crushrib..usually too loose Harvester Light Blue Smooth..lots of guys prefer these for heavy loads MMP/Hornady Tan..more pliable at colder temps and most accurate in my Elite for most loads.
Then there are a couple odd sabots including the older Knight Brown made be MMP. This one it the largest loaded OD according to my mic.
Charges from 80-120grs depending on the bullet. A few guys have gone a little higher with good results. Accurate loads up to at least 2200fps are possible and repeatable without exceeding max load data.
