I started using speed loaders again, since returning to smoky muzzleloaders. Next year, I would like to have my speed loaders set up, ready to go with lead bullets or Powerbelts that can be pushed down the barrel quickly. The question I want to ask is, if I shoot and then immediately dump a pre-measured charge down the barrel, and then stuff the bullet and sabot down, is there a danger of burning embers touching off the charge, considering that my goal would be to have the gun completely reloaded within 15 seconds of firing? Has anyone heard of this happening? Thanks in advance.
