Hello to everyone. I've been lurking for awhile now and decided to join in on some of the conversation. Pictured are my two custom Indiana deer rifles---.62 RB and a 358wssm---a smokeless muzzleloader may fit nicely in between the two. Steve

Welcome Steve, those are real nice rifles you got there. How do you like your 358?

I like it. My brothers and I are "part time smiths" and we have a custom reamer for these---I believe mine was # 11 or 12. Its a stock win coyote wssm with a douglas 5wt 24in glass bedded and tuned trigger. I shoot 180 or 200 gr Hornady Intelocks at 2600 fps which gives me a pbr of 237yds---solid MOA load---double lunged a 120 class at 173yds(lazered) and shoulder/spine shot a 130-140lb doe at 133yds last month. FWIW---I built the RB gun back in 1978 from a set of blueprints made from an original hawken which hangs in the Nebraska historical society. It is an exact replica within a 32nd of an inch except for the caliber (62). Its the only deer rifle I've ever hunted with until this year---
