Has anyone ran BH 209 thru a powder thrower/dispenser Such as a RCBS, Horn. or Lyman? i see it is very course unlike smokeless. Also I see these companies make a black powder version of their throwers. Anyway, wondering if anyone has experience before I throw a 100 or so dollars out the window.
Thanks!

That is what they call a speed dump. When I first got here everyone was talkin speed dump. I googled speed dump and all I got was takin a C@#$ in less than a minute, sad but true I weighed every charge with T 7 and I weigh all charges with smokeless. JM2 Rusty

I've used my RCBS Uniflow to throw charges of Blackhorn 209, then use a powder trickler to trickle up to the exact weight on the digital scale. Sure saves a lot of time weighing powder this weigh.

I have been using Lyman 1200 DPS 3 Digital Powder Scale and Dispenser System to weigh and measure BH209 since 2008. It works great. Although I do verify and fine tweak on a good balance beam scale.

I weigh each charge, it's hard to determine how good or bad a certain load shoots if everything isn't the same every time. It takes a little longer to load up 25 charges but in the long run it's well worth the time spent at the scale.
