So far 3 buttons, 2 bucks, and 2 does.
My wife admiring my handiwork with the Deerslayer II 20g. First triple for me so far. A doe and her two yearlings. All were under 20 yards. Does was standing. Yearlings were running, but not real hard. All were bang flops.
Here's my biggest buck of the weekend. He's got a 20" spread and would have been a 10 pointer, but he'd been doing a lot of fighting and was down to his brow tines and a point on each side. 75 yard shot. He just came walking out of nowhere across a cattle pasture as my wife and I were getting in place for a drive. First shot spined him. Then I shot him in the neck again. Interestingly enough, I shot him about 75 yards from where I got the 135" 6pt last year. It's a major hub for several big timbers.
Here's a button that took a 200gr SST at around 2800FPS out of my 45 Pacnor 10ML at about 35 yards. I expected the head to basically explode, but the bullet must have fragmented 'cause it only had a tiny exit hole. This is the entrance side. No trailing was required on this one. 8)
Here's a shot of the wife after her score on a button buck with the Deerslayer II. She was pretty pumped. I had to give it a finishing head shot with the 10ML at 70 yards and Deerslayer II and a Win Partition Gold at close range, and let's just say, the end results aren't fit for public viewing.
Still got a couple of more pictures to load. Nice big doe I took at 80 yards with a neck shot from the MZ, and a 9pt buck that I took at about 150 yards with the Deerslayer II (will laser tomorrow, but I'll be surprised if it's under 140yards).
Still got a few more doe tags to fill.
