I got this doe yesterday morning about 9:45. I had just got down from my stand and decided to go check out an old cabin on the property and see how it was holding up. I get in the cabin to look around and a minute later I see this doe run by the door. She ran to the south and crossed onto the neighbors property, so I decided to forget about her and continue to check the cabin but about 2 or 3 minutes later she showed back up. She caught me moving to a window and took off running to the north, so, I moved to the north window, at first she was obscured by a tree but quickly moved into the open. Shot her at about 67 yards. The bullet took out part of the heart and broke a rib upon entrance and exit. She made it about 50 yards or so before going down blowing a lot of blood the whole way making an easy tracking job. Load was a 300gr BO in an orange MMP sabot in front of 65gr IMR 4198 and a Winchester primer. Stock Savage ML10-II

Yes sir, that load drains them out quickly! Nice shot with shooting the irons! Is that a buck knife with the gut hook?

No gut hook just a plain old big Buck knife.
I was excited as I have now used all 3 of my deer guns to harvest deer.
I got a doe in the first gun season with my S&W 357 Mag for its first time.
In the past I had been using my Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter in 44 Mag.
