I purchased the DISC Extreme conversion kit for my Original Knight disc and the bolt retaining screw that is supposed to be included is not there. Will the original bolt retaining screw work? I don't want to mess anything up.
Can you put the new style spring loaded retaining screw in the original disc without modification?
Thanks in advance.
First post by the way!
Don

I havent done it but if i remember correctly the quick release will only fit an Original if its drilled and tapped for the new pin.
The old style bolt release pin (allen head) should work with an Extreme bolt conversion in its original threads.
Threads and size on the quick release are different but the part that retains the bolt past the threads should be the same......i think.
Maybe Sabotloader will know for sure and post.

Thanks for the reply gmb!
At least I can shoot it, now I just wish I could upgrade to the spring loaded pin.
Athens TN is just an hour from me, I wonder if I drove down there if they would help me out? I need a thumbhole stock for a wolverine as well.

Im pretty sure that they will put it in for a small fee. I think it used to be about $25 for Knight to do the conversion. Im not sure if the smith shop is down there yet. Sam might still be in the shop in Iowa but im not sure.
