Im shooting n110 250gr xtp short black mmp sabots. I am wanting a better group. Can anyone tell me if the barnes would shoot tighter groups and if so what grain bullet and what sabot?

What range are you wanting to shoot? What is your ultimate goal? What do you plan to shoot/hunt? Great loads: 250SST/SW, 42-45g VV-110 250SST/SW, 65g VV-120 or 19/51 VV-110/H-322(RB's load) Same powders as above and 250TMZ 300SST 58-60 VV-120, or 41-44g VV-110. Straight VV-110 is really good.

Barnes bullets usually arent a accurate as the XTP. Bullet/sabot fit is the key to good accuracy. Work with your N110 in the 40 - 44 grain range and try different sabots like the Harvester short black. Ive found a nice snug bullet/sabot that takes about 30 lbs. of push shoots the best in a factory .50 barrel. You also might try 300 XTP's using the same sabots and grains of powder. Good luck, Mike
