In our lives a unique individual will come along and touch us in a special way with what he gives us of himself to others. No I never personally have talked with Rick and only communicated a few times by PM. But what he has indirectly given me and many others will not easily be forgotten.
I remember well my early years with the 10ML-II struggling to achieve reasonable accuracy that often was frustrating until I found this board. I found a lot of good people here and one individual that stood out was RBinAR. He along with a few others were always ahead with the pioneering of smokeless muzzle loading and coming up with ways to improve accuracy. Rick just kept advancing and made so many contributions that many of us have benefited and enjoy today.
Now this special individual has departed from us but his legacy will live on for a long time in many of us who benefited from what he gave. Part of me wishes a sort of recognition could be noted on this Board, even a short one for all Rick Bibby gave. Maybe I’m asking too much but part of his memory will always exist when I pick up my 10ML-II and enjoy the accuracy I have obtained today from Rick’s contributions.
Farewell & Thanks RBinAR.
Ed

RBs posts and traces are one of the reasons i got a Savage. Ive just gotten started in SMLs and now one of the mentors is gone.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

To whichever Mod or Admin that posted the passing of Rick Biddy as an announcement, Thank You. The noting of his passage in a small way recognizes the remarkable individual he was thought of and well respected on this board.

RB has been very helpful always took the time to explain in detail to any question I asked him. Till today I still use Re-#7 powder that he recommended I try. He always stated everything in detail Starting as well as max loads. His expertise will be surely missed. God has a special place for RB. Lou

RB was indeed an asset to this board and no doubt to all who came into contact with him. He choose not to post anything about his health problems. No doubt because he wished to fight that battle alone. Fortunately for us, Rick will never be really gone so long as he remains in the hearts and minds of those left behind. If we had a section identifying those who started and kept this forum going Rick would surely be near the top. We could all name others deserving recognition. I will remember and think much more often of his life than his passing. So long for now Rick. Ben

This was sent to me today.
Hello,
My name is Jeremiah. I am the son of rbinar (Rick, I called him ol'man) Dad passed away Saturday just before noon due to a massive heart attack. If you would be so kind, I would appreciate it if you could forward this to the rest of the members on the board. If they need to contact me, I can be better reached at jeremiahbibby@yahoo.com. I still have a couple of open jobs here at Dad's place, and would like to make every effort to return the items to their rightful owner.
Hope the best of holidays to you all.
Best Regards, Jeremiah

I will miss our Thursday phone calls, on the way home from the range I'd call him, and share the info on the range session. Rick was the first gent I'd call, when successful in the field, when I took a Moose with his rifle, I called him, he asked if my hunt was over, I said no, I'm high in the Alaska Range on a satellite phone, couldn't wait till I got back to Fairbanks to call we had a fine laugh. Sad to say I told him he needed to lose wieght, he said he'd get around to it sometime. We have lost a very fine gent. I hope he is in a better place, rest well, brother Rick. Marty

Rick was always so willing to help others. Some of us who didn't act too smart on our own. We all owe a debt to him and his pioneering with loads, modifications, and recommendations here. We will all miss him. Chuck

IMHO, i think the best way to honor him is to try and help others as he did when possible. A sticky with his traces and collection of his helpful hints is a great start but the greatest tribute would be to continue his selfless nature and kindness.

We should move all of his posts and his web site to the tip and hint section. So they do not get lost as we still need his wisdom live on in his memory. He will be missed!
