Received this PM for RB's son, was asked to pass it on to members:
Hello,
My name is Jeremiah. I am the son of rbinar (Rick, I called him ol'man) With great sadness, I need to announce that Dad passed away Saturday, Nov. 12th. just before noon due to a massive heart attack. Him and I were very close, and a lot of my final moments with him was most likely working on one of the many projects that came from the many postings here on Doug's Message Board.
If you would be so kind, I would appreciate it if you could forward this to the rest of the members on the board. If they need to contact me, I can be better reached at jeremiahbibby@yahoo.com. I still have a couple of open jobs here at Dad's place, and would like to make every effort to return the items to their rightful owner.
Hope the best of holidays to you all.
Best Regards, Jeremiah

Wow, that is no good. Talk about a legend of the sport. He was a true pioneer for the smokeless crowd.

I just received the same message as well. I assumed he was out hunting and not posting for that reason.
Rest in Peace, Rick.
Paul.

Jeremiah, Please accept my deepest sympathies for the loss of your father Rick. It has always amazed and at the same time bewildered me that the English language we use to communicate is capable of rising to the level of greatness when helping the country to cope with the most dire of threats and tragedies like President Lincoln did while making his Gettysburg Address, but when we loose a loved one, especially when it is sudden and completely unexpected, there simply are no words I know of in existence that can be said to help ease the pain of your great loss I know you are feeling.
I will tell you what I have told others in your situation in that remember all the good you and your father shared and dwell not on the loss or what should have been or might haver been, as that is exactly what I did when my father died suddenly and with only enough time for me to tell him how much I loved him and was proud beyond measure to have been his son and been able to call him father.
Be well, you will never stop missing him, but with time it will not hurt so much when you do.
Arthur.
