Hello, I'm new to this forum, but have enjoyed reading for some time now.
I have a new NULA 50 cal and have been wondering about trying sabotless bullets in it? 250 or 300 grain? thanks for any info.

Well I have a NULA and have not shot anything but saboted bullets. My load is 45 grains of 4759, Harvester sabot, 225 Barnes 451 pistol bullet, and the CCI 209m primer. Shoots 5 shots right at 1 inch at 100 yards. Puts 3 into less than .75 Have yet to hunt with it but will during In. muzzleloader season.

Cooperfan, call Terry at Thor and he will send you a sample pack of the .500, .501, .502 and .503 bullets. You can request 250 or 300gr I believe. The smaller the skirt diameter that fits your bore well, the better the potential accuracy. I suspect that if your bore requires one of the larger sized skirts, the 300gr will give you better potential accuracy due to the longer bearing surface.

My load is 45 grains of 4759, Harvester sabot, 225 Barnes 451 pistol bullet, and the CCI 209m primer. I have 2 loads that have been OK, but just not consistant enough. *42 grains of 4759, 275 Parker BE with supplied sabot, and a CCI standard 209 primer *36 grains of N-110, 200 grain Hornady FTX bullet with MMP sabot and standard CCI primer. I have not tried the Harvester sabot or the CCI 209M primers (probably should). Which Harvester sabot should I try?
