I got a bergara .45 cal on my Encore. I am shooting harvester blue sabots and 200g hydrocons I been knurling my bullets and the sabots still can be pushed down with 1 finger. I have shot the tan mmp sabots and they load tighter down the bore but don't shoot neer as good. I was told about how to wrap the bullet with a strip of papper so I did and it made it feel good and tight and I am getting better speed. But I was just wanted to know if there is any one else that does this and how long they cut there papper and if there is any other tips about doing this. Thanks

Personally I do not want to knurl or paper patch so I would not fool with anything that does not provide a snug fit to start. You are asking for misfires if the combo is loose.Do you have any means to measure that barrel? I would try different sabots as well. I have had my eye on those Parkers for use in the Pac-Nor .45. Do you think a guy could talk you into selling 1 or 2 of those? I would like to check out the fit in the Pac-Nor .45. ;D

You might like the Knight dark brown 45/40 sabot. It is slightly looser than the MMP but tougher and not as loose as the Harvester. A wool wad under the sabot seems to help my shooting.
