Good shootin Rusty....If that was my group I'd just move it to the left and leave the down alone...That 62gns shoots good in a lot of .45's. Zen

Zen.....How fast is that load going. Is that the guarenteed not to blow a sabot load you shot over here? 2600fps? was kinda what I remember, but then agin I know little about smokeless. Thinkin about a smokeless .45 barrel for the encore. Tryin to see what I am going to gain. The .45 drops about 6 or 7 in if I remember right at 200 if I am sighted in for 150 yds with 120 gr. of black horn and a 200 gr sst. Wayles

These guys can build you a .45 barrel for your encore...Give me a call and I'll give you some more info. Zen www.smokelessmuzzleloading.com/

thought I was the only one who used paper plates for targets!! yep, can't beat that 62gr load either. I buy the coated ones, the bullets cut clean holes and I can see the holes out to 200 yrds with an 18 power scope. A brief shower or drizzling rain, no problem. I keep all plates for each weapon I own in zip lock bags. Can lay them out on a table and study them. If I sell the weapon, the plates go with it Rusty

Good idea, I just usually pich mine in the garbage when done. I do shoot on regular targets when I want to post a pic thou, but what the heck, paper plates are fine!!!

Wayles I'm not Zen, but that load shoots a little over 2700 fps in my gun with the 195g Barnes and smooth blue Harvester. +3" at 100 yds should be right on at 200.

Nice shooting Rusty. Bumping that load up a few grains did the trick.

wayles Chris is correct little over 2700fps with this load. I sight in 2 1/2" @ 100yrds and at 200 I'm down 1 1/2" and at 300 I'm 14"s low. I built a one of a kind pn encore barrel that was a tack driver. My most accurate barrel yet which is now in the hands of Ryan.

Rusty.....how are you liking your new scope? Does it seem to be accurate with the turret adjustments?

Rusty.....how are you liking your new scope? Does it seem to be accurate with the turret adjustments? Doug Hey Doug, no, there seems to be no difference in adjustment form around 150 all the way to infinity. I may send it back to them after hunting season. The 6.5 X 20 that I put on my 243 works great. Thanks for asking , Rusty
