While i wait for my C drill bit I'm wondering how tight the primer fit ought to be? Should one be able to push the primer in by hand with the plug out. Is there an ideal amount of resistance? As it is now i really have to press hard and can barely get a cci mag started. Same with Federals and a little easier with Winchesters. For those who have drilled with the C drill can you press them in with your fingers? Thanks Much gunny

I want them to slide in easily. When I turn the breech plug over they fall out on their own.

Yes I do.But I did before the "C" bit treatment. Not bad but blow by was present. When I used the "C" bit it was by hand no drill. No material was taken away.Per rossmans suggestion a light polishing of the primer pocket afterwards with 2 different grits of emory cloth makes it as slick as a whistle and allows the primer to slide in easily.Prior to this it felt as if the primers were being "crushed" as the resistance was stiff running them home.Everything is smooth as silk now.Proceed with caution as I can see where you could over do this. A light polishing of the primer pocket with the fine grit emory may be all thats needed.
