Richard,
Makes a excellent point, In my case anything over two hundred yards is not needed, and in some cases 100 yards would be the max. This has nothing to do with marksmenship, but the limits of my Savage. On the other hand Toms rifles would extend the distance, When I spoke to Tom, he mentioned shooting a 350gr Barnes X bullet at speed, and IMHO a 300gr Barnes X bullet at 2900FPS, will take any game a 375 H&H would take. I will be 77 in two months, and although I'm in excellent condition, and have no plans to cut back on my workout schedule, who knows what tomorrow will bring, We Jews have a saying, "Man plans, God laughs"so Ill stick with my Savage, it has served me well. One more but, if I was younger one or more of Toms rifle would be at the top of my list.
