I bought my stainless laminated 10ML II new two weeks ago and could not get it to shoot well , so I started looking for the reason and found a couple of things that did not seem correct , (1) first of all the front action screw was very hard to unscrew, after closer inspection I noticed the screw (when tighten down) was protruding into the inside of the receiver and the screws thread were deformed against back of the barrel, I shortened the screw and that made the screw much smoother to tighten and loosen. (2) second my bolt did not slide back and forth smoothly. It worked but just seemed like it was hanging up on a burr or not aligned correctly. Then when I removed the rear action so I could remove the bolt , it moved in and out smoothly, turns out that the rear action screw was also too long . So i carefully ground it down till it held the bolt in and still operated smoothly. (3) My accutrigger was very nice for the first 30 shots or so , then it began to malfunction , I would try to squeeze the trigger and it would hang up against the sear stop and I would have to re cock the bolt , this would occur about 4 out of 10 tries. I adjusted the trigger clockwise 1 turn and it has helped so far. Are these problems common on a new rifle ?
