After reading a recent post about the above mentioned bullet I decided to get some to try. Will be using them with BCR sabot. Question is can I safely use data for the .458 300gr or should it be reduced for the extra 25 gr bullet wt? Can't seem to find data for anything over 300gr.In addition to H4198 I also want to try some N120

I can tell you that I've been shooting 70 gr 4198 which is the same charge I use for a 300 grain bullet. That is not to say you should go out the and substitute any 300 grain charge!! Even mine. Maybe you can and maybe you can't.
I would do one of 2 things:
a) PM RBinAR and ask him for a recommendation. b) OR....take any 300 grain date, reduce powder by 10%, shoot over a chrono and work up slowly.
I think a short answer to your question may be ......Probably YES with the slower burning powders. Possibly maybe or NO with the faster burning powders due to higher pressures and potential sabot failure.
BUT....RB or Edge probably has a better insight then I do.

Thank you for your response. Those were the two things I had considered but being the noob I am I figured I would start with an open question to all. I was encouraged by your results with the 325 ftx but wanted to try it with N120. I still would appreciate any input. Thanks
