Here are my 1'st 6 shots EVER from my 10MLII that I bought about 9months ago. I just shot it for the 1'st time this week. The 3 yellows are my 1'st 3 shots, the 3 greens are the next 3 after a small scope adjustment. All are from 50 yards with just an average rest. I'm impressed with the Savage, this is just the start load of 37 g VV N110, 250 xtp's, and MMP short blacks. I'm loving the smokeless! I've got a couple of weeks to step up my charges and get some 100 yard groups in before ml opens up here.

howa very nice, it is so gratifying to shoot good groups like that the first time out. Excellent work. Now you should be able to keep the same grouping at 100 yds if not tighter.

I've been lurking on this site since January, just reading all I can, and decided to just start with the book stuff and try to kill a couple of deer with it before going too nuts. I just bought a 2'nd Savage a couple of weeks ago, it shot equally well the other day AFTER I got it on paper. It did not bore-sight nearly as well as this one did.

There's a lot to be said for a stock savage and the standard book loads

Howa, Welcome and how did you get so good so fast? You got to the X ring a whole lot faster then I did. But I just jumped right in and didnt lurk about. Then after failure I began to learn and got there OK. Now have another MLII and aint it fun! What were the most inportant things you learned before your first range session? That information would help a lot of newbies. Best, 10

Welcome aboard Howa. I know your name from TNDeer and good to see you here too. I'm over near Clarksville. Good start you have there. Hurry up and push those targets out a little bit and give her a good wringing out. If you do any shooting at the Montgomery complex maybe we can shoot together sometime. Ed

Ed I do 90% of my hunting out in Southside a couple of miles from the shooting complex. I live in the sticks though, so most of my shooting is done here at the house. You have the same name on tndeer?
