Just got my hands on some H4198 and some 300gr Remington .458 bullets. Have Harvester sabots on hand, plus MMP. Anyone have a sweet spot load for this combo. What other powders may work better, always in need of FREE ADVICE,................ TX Buckey

Buckey,
Do a search at top of board for H 4198 loads. (57-60 gr's seems to be the number for most guys) 5744 is a reliable powder as well as N120 for 300 grainers with Harv. BCR . 5744 is a very consistant powder for many weather conditions, but is dirty & lower velocity. N120 is harder to get, more costly and cleaner to burn. H4198 is a good stable powder as well. Once you get some suggested loads--you got try em' in your gun and see what it likes.

67gns with the BCR and 300 Remington or 300 BO has worked well for me. This has been the most accurate and most consistent combo that I've found. It's deadly on those deer also. Zen

H 4198 instead I use IMR 4198 68grns with a 300 Remington in a BCR sabot. Vary good hunting load for deer. It shoots great in my 10ML-ll I have not had any problems.
