I've found H322 to be faster then Benchmark in my 22BR, 1.3gr to keep the same speed in that rifle, althou different burn charts say H322 is slower, Hodgdon's chart shows BM as slower
I've just started playing with BM straight up in my 40 and 45cal sabotless ML's this year, haven't had any issues with ignition and accuracy has stayed the same. I'll run some with sabots next trip out and see what happens.

Let us know about your test, !! because i would like to use it benchmark either in duplex load or single powder load for my savage ml 10, and for my 223 rem. also.
thanks

I would think it could be used in duplexing. Its a little slow for single powder loads unless you used heavy bullets, 300 grains or more.
I like Benchmark a lot. Its very accurate in two calibers I own, .223 and .358 WSSM. Barnes bullets once told me they test for accuracy using Benchmark. Mike

Do you think it would work with 4759?

8-)I don't know about the new Imr bench powder but if it's much the same as Benchmark I can relate it to that.
Bench mark was the very first powder used for the 40 caliber rifle and it still works very well in that caliber shooting the 200/195 grain bullets sabot-less. Loads are best in the 55 to 58 grain level but I have shot it to 60 grains. 60 grains nears or betters 2700fps and as such might be too hot for my conservative pressure requirements.
Benchmark would be fine for a single in 45 caliber but you'd need some powder to make enough pressure. That means speed and recoil as well. I have shot this caliber with 200 grain SSTs but not enough to endorse a recommended load.
It will duplex in 50 caliber much the same way H322 does but might require slightly more booster for the same speed and pressure.

Mike, 358 WSSM what speed is it doing with the 200 grain? 200 Barnes TSX goes 2640 fps with Benchmark. Mike
