How long do you think your barrel will last shooting sabotless?

in cf's barrels burnout(throat erosion) not wear out, since there is no throat probably forever, however might have to recrown sometime down the road unless using a bore guide.

I would say.........for a muzzleloading shooter who only checks his zero in the fall when it is cool? Probably ten lifetimes! As was mentioned, there is no throat to burn out and you bullets are barely touching the lands.........so, little wear. Richard

The reason I asked is I am considering investing in the sabotless route.Since you will be able to adjust the dia. of the bullet with the adjustable Swinglock apparatus I wondered if the barrel wear would increase if you ran them on the tight side...just thinking.

tar12,you wont regret the sabotless route & you wont wear it out. if you get one too tight// well where's the sledge/not fun/but you will get the feel pretty quickly(digital calipers neccessary)/imo//i have only had to beat 2 down so far & they joined the group @ 100
