I bought the silver bdc 300 for my stainless. Apparently I missed the thread that would have let me know that I needed the one piece base and not the two piece. Not sure if I want to order and wait for the one piece to come in or trade the bdc 300 for a buckmasters 4.5-14? Any suggestions out there? Buck I like my Omega, so far! BH

BH Buck, I've bought Omega and being so short it would'nt work with my Dednutz (low)1 piece base scope rings, unless I buy medium ones and still would be too close to an eye. So,instead I went with Buckmasters 3-9X40 with almost same BDC reticle(haven't gotten it yet) I may sell my Nikon Omega or send it for refund. Trade off is 1.4" of eye relief loss. Omega has 5",Buckmasters-3.6" which I don't see a problem. Most of my scope have same eye relief anyway and I'm fine with them. olegburn

realhunter, how much clearance you getting between front bell and barrel? Same for rear bell and the base? Can you adjust power without interfering with base? Also,I like my scopes as low as possible if stock shape permits- How is the fit with your set-up? It seemed little high for my liking, but again we all differ on things. olegburn

It is a 1/4" or so higher than the standard warne base... I have full range on scope power, no interference. I do not think one could use the "low" rings with the Omega...

Realhunter,
I have the Burris Fullfield II which is similar to the Omega scope with the range recticle. Also got the quick detatch Warne rings/bases. Top shelf quality. Had this setup for about 3 years now and love it. Will say this though, I have another gun with a Bushnell Elite 4200 4x16-50mm and theres NO contest. The 50 mm tube is great and the quality of this scope is very high IMO.
