Last week I took my nephew and went to a bear hunting camp in the State of Wisconsin. It takes about 8 years to get a tag. We spent the week with the Jump River Guide Service. There were 5 different bear trees during the week. We were unable to find a really good bear. This sow bear weighed about 200 pounds and was let to have more little ones. My nephew with the bear taken on the last day of our hunt. It was a boar bear that weighed 232 pounds dressed. Luke is actually happy, he may have been having a gas pain here. Here he is at the tree.

Congratulations. What did you use to shoot the bear?

The bear was shot through the neck with a 35 Remington Model 141. A second shot was administered with a 41 mag pistol. The recovered bullet can be seen in the handgun section.
