they are also the plated bullets. they've had these for a while as i got some last fall or winter? shot a couple OK groups, but cuz of their construction would not use them at even moderate smokeless speeds.
maybe a good woodchuck pill tho? ;D

I have not seen these bullets, but just because they are plated should not prevent them from being used at our speeds. The new Speer Deep Curl dangerous game bullets are plated and they hold up very well. If these bullets are not constructed well, then that is a different story.

I've shot a bunch of them last fall, pretty accurate on paper from all three of my 45's. Use to be able to get them with sabots, but don't see them listed that way any more.
I'd have no reservations using them on deer

craig, I think the difference is the speer has much more copper thickness in their plating, where the raniers are just barely plated. I'm sure Al gave them a kick in the can, which is as good a testament as any
