Does anyone know what the thread pitch is on the new hex breech plug? I had Possum Hollow make me a bore guide just got it and won,t thread in. Called Eric and he said he did 1in 16 pitch. Does anyone know if that is still the pitch? Thanks for your time. Don

I'm not quite to doing breech plugs yet. I was lining up the capabilities to harden them after milling but now you can buy a hex head from the factory fairly cheap. I can do a drill bushing conversion. I have became quite familiar with the Savage breech plug threads doing the bore guides. It isn't standard thread dimensions, the major dimension is close, the minor dimension isn't standard. So if by chance you buy a die and think you are going to chase your breech plug threads, it wouldn't work.
