A lot of goo out there. I have ben using a copper anti type has a little more temp rating vs the silver plus it is compatable with stainless steel. But the breech is made of a different type of metal. do not know what. anyway pros and cons of anti is what im looking for>

This is what I use.It is in a semi-solid form. Much easier to use and less mess than the runny stuff.Very easy to apply.

I second what dans said I have gone this route and never looked back. I still use anti-seize on the ventliner.

I use the white teflon tape and just wrap it a few times. That's worked fine for me. Less mess.

Pink teflon tape on the plug, Never Seez on the ventliner. Tried it this way yesterday and it worked great. My can of Never Seez will last forever now just using it on the ventliner!

using white teflon on both the vent liner and the breech plug, I do use probably 3 layers but it works.

Put that tape on the plug and run your thumbnail around the threads and set the tape in the grooves. Make sure you wrap the plug so that when you screw it into the rifle the tape is tightened not loosened. I have never melted the tape and use a 50 cal brush to clean the threads when I take the plug out.

Rem oil works great on the BP threads and on the vent to if you take it out after each shooting session,I didn't take the vent liner out untill a week later and it was stuck good. Now I use rem oil on the BP and anti grease on the vent.I like the rem oil it leaves the plug very clean.

I guess I've used every combination of anti-sieze that's out there. I stopped using any sort of grease on the BP threads and went to teflon after having to clean powder from a mis-fire.
Now, I use nothing on either the vent liner or the breech plug; after a day of shooting I remove the breech plug and loosen/re-tighten the vent liner (I want to check the orifice, anyway) before replacing the breech plug.
