:)guys with the growing interest of remington 700ml conversions they will be designated as dd remington ml barrels.so if you call to order one for your 700ml action you know what to ask for. here's your options: dd savage(ml2 and centerfire small shank) dd remington(700 centerfire) dd remington ml(700 ml action).

DaveD,will these barrels be blueprinted with the "hunter's" bolt conversion dimensions? Will there be another run for longer bolt conversion that will put BP further into the barrel (past the recoil lug)? Thanks! Also, does Rem.ML action dimensions and stock are same as 700CF short action? olegburn

:)guys they are not available right this second because we are waiting on #'s from hunters new longer bolt nose which should get us real close to pass the recoil lug. the ml action will fit a sa 700 centerfire action stock. As far as contour if you are shooting sabots I don't see why you couldn't go with the factory contour. If your going to go sabotless I would like to see a heavier contour.

Dave I have the hunter bolt kit, will i have to change hunters bolt nose & bp both to go to your DD barrel ? I don"t know how i would get the bolt nose off, it pressed on tight . I think i may sell my 45 cal pac nor savage and build this rem after deer season. Would i be better off to build a centerfire short or long action than this 700 ml ? I have this 700 ml if i use a short or long action, i wiill have to buy one. deerhunter

dave d, If if I were to go shopping to build a Rem 700 conversion, what model, year, caliber, etc should I look for so as to build this with the least amount of hurdles? I try to remember that if it is a cheap purchase it may & usually does cost more in the end.

dave d., I know this sounds redundant, but since joining this site, I have an itch for a smokeless .45. I have several centerfire rifles that I would consider converting. With a short action Rem 700, is that all I need is a PacNor barrel and a Pa. breech plug? What if anything has to be done to the bolt? Also, can a 7x57 Mauser be converted?
Sorry for the questions that have probably been asked several hundred times, but if you can direct me to the right threads, I would be grateful.

;)John you basically got it action, Pa plug, and pn barrel. You will headspace off the plug and use .308,.243 etc cases cut down to around .890 as your primers. You can use a Mauser action if you want it would work as long as the boltface is .473. Feel free to pm me anytime for help. Goodluck
