Hey guys, I have no clue where my brech plug grease that came my savage is. I bought some TC Super Lube All purpose Anti seize from Gander MTN. That is all they had. Anyone have any experience with this stuff. Is it worth it or should I take it back? Thanks! Mike

teflon tape works better without all the mess, just chase the threads with you fingernail or the back of a butter knife after it is applied. use antiseize on the vent liner threads (sparingly)......Bill

Whatever you use, break things free frequently to stay out of trouble.

About any will work with the smokeless power.Someone suggested useing rem oil and I have been useing it since, it is very clean. On the bP threads. You can use it on the vent also but you better break it loose at least after every trip to the range.I use cva greese on the vent now.It comes in a big tube and will last for years. I had trouble useing 777 in a reg T/C encore and TC sent me a tube of the super lube and the gorlia paste and both worked great with the 777.It has worked good in my savage also.

I quit using any kind of grease/oil on the BP threads, I now use pink Teflon tape, so much cleaner. As far as the vent thread I use never seize that I use a Q tip to apply it keeps the fingers from turning silver
