guppy.... I tried real hard to get the tsx Barnes and the other Barnes all copper bullets to shoot consistently in my Savage....With no luck. The BO's or the .458 Remington HP with the Black Crushed Sabots worked the best for me as with many others on this board. Some shoot the Barnes all coppers with good results so I guess you'll have to see for yourself Good Luck, Zen

Some have reported good luck with the solid copper bullets. I have some of the 300 gr TSX to try myself. You may need to knurl them a bit for a tight fit. They would certainly be a fab bullet, especially if you plan to hunt larger game than Whitetail Deer. Boarhog

I tried both the 300 and 350 gr TSX FB .458 using orange MMP sabots. The charge was the same I use for 300 gr originals (45 gr AA5744). They were not on paper at 100 yds. In fact, I'm not sure where they went. The the interest of range safety, I stopped experimenting.
I was a bit surprised since I get great results with the XPB FB 275 gr in a HPH-12 sabot.

IMHO, If you are shooting Sabotless the Barnes 290gr. TMZ FB, is the most accurate bullet, I have tested, and if I missed testing any bullet, shame on me.

Glad you posted this, reminded me I wanted to ask you some questions How far below your lands do you size the bullet? How high up are you knurling after sized? Using a veggie or wool wad between the powder and bullet? How much of what powder? Thanks
