I recently decided I wanted to install a tactical bolt handle on my Savage 10ML-II after seeing a couple of them on member's guns. After asking a few questions via PM's, I got one ordered and installed. It's basically a cosmetic change, although I do believe the bolt closes a tad easier because of the leverage the longer handle affords. I started with a Sharp Shooter Supply stainless tactical handle. After removing the bolt, a 1/4" allen wrench removes the bolt assembly screw. Remove the old handle. The new handle will need a bevel filed or milled into the back side to match the old bolt handle so the bolt will close. This is the only modification needed to the bolt handle. No alterations were need on the factory laminated stock. Personally, I like the looks of it a lot better than the generic looking bolt handle that most Savage rifles have. The top side of the SSS handle is contoured to match the back of the receiver for a smooth, clean look. I'm satisfied with how it came out......see what you think.

Looks good to me. No doubt you also get better leverage. That thing is so big you could also strap the gun to a tree and use if for a climbing stick.
