The TPS rings are very nice. Burris Signature Zees I am currently using. The Burris XTRs are nice and soild. The new Weaver Tacticals are cheap and tough and the newer ones are made for a picatinny rail.
Another thing is are they going on a weaver style mount or a picatinny rail/mount. If you measure the width of the cross slot and it is less then .200" (usually .180-.150") you have a weaver and you want to go with a TPS TSR "W" or the Burris rings. If it is picatinny spec then the TPS rings that are made for picatinny or the newer Weavers with PN that starts with a 99.

Rossman40, I have picatinny base but I like the signature zee rings. I get the impression they are only good on a weaver style base. Am I getting this right? Jon

You can use weaver style on a picatinny but you have to make sure during the install you push them forward and during use they do not come loose. If they come loose you have a .050" gap and with a 10ML you will be "slamming" your scope to a assured quick destruction.
The fad around here now with all the SWAT wannabees trying to look tacticool is three rings on your scope. I can see it on a heavy kicker like a .50, 338LM or even a 300RUM but a .308...
