I bought some Lehigh vent liners and had a first quick range session.
Have any of you changed your power charge after switching to the Lehigh liners? I had been getting good accuracy with Barnes Originals, MMP Orange, 45 grains of AA5744, and Federal 209A primers using Savage liners. Seems as if a lower charge may be best with the new liners.
My best groups have come with the Barnes 275 grain XPB in a HPH-12 sabot and 42 grains of AA5744. I haven't tried that with the Lehigh liners yet (had to order more bullets).

It's funny you mention that, I had a good load in my .50 with 63.0grs reloader 7 and remington 300gr bullets, I swapped from a savage ventliner to a lehigh on my next range session and I thought I had lost my mind, my 12 gauge groups better. And I never thought about the ventliner change. Guess it's back to the range tomorrow with the savage ventliner and see what she does.

Just i thought, I bought some Lehigh vent liner they gauge .032, I never used them, since when my other liners open to that size, I throw them away. The ones the gent in Canada sells start at .027 to .028. I spoke to the owner of lehigh and asked if he would consider making some that size, however I never heard from him. I have a BP from Pete, it also has a bushing marked 1/32, I haven't tried it. It maybe just me, but the small vent hole works better, much better for me, thats just my experience and maybe worthless to others
