With SML it's often necessary to wait some time between shots when shooting saboted bullets to let the barrel cool down.
Is this required with BH209 as well? Or does it not get as hot?

More so with BH209. My guns seem to get hotter than with smokeless.

My rifle barrel get hot just holding them. Just call me Hot Stuff LOL I use the cooling rods the other day and they really work fine. One thing they seem to draw moisture so I run a dry patch down the barrel before loading again. When I get my conversion finished I am going to order some for the 45. rods Really a good idea. A little off couse but it basically the same whether BP or smokeless In this hot weather yes you shoud wait till the barrel cools or do as I do. Lou

Thanks Lou. I have a cool rod I use for my .50 SML, will be sure to bring it when we're wringing out the accura and BH209.
