Well, got the new 26" Pac-Nor the other day and had to "Gussy" it up..........Since I opted out of the barrel fluting (too expensive and no accuracy gain : I decided to get the barrel polished rather than bead blasted since the wheels in my head had an idea ;D. I decided to put "rifling" on the outside A simple matter of running some tape around the barrel and then bead blasting in between! This could also be done in any pattern. They could be bead blasted flutes, diamonds animal designs or whatever your imagination can think of. Richard

Rifling on the inside and outside of the barrel has got to increase the accuracy even more! Can't wait to see them targets!

Wow! You could start a whole new fad. You really have something there. I'm close to calling you for one of those, close.

Richard I hope the outside rifling is in the same direction as the inside If not it could really cause some problems But then again, I have never recovered a confused bullet or sabot. What a great idea and pretty too, Rusty

Thanks for the positive comments! I actually should have made it a left hand twist.........that way it would counter-acted the right hand torque ;D Jon.........do you want that "one holer" with FIVE shots or will THREE do? Richard

Rich! The barrel looks fabulous! I am almost as anxious as you to see a few bug holes shot with it. How long do you think it will be before you have it ready to try?
I've been working on my Boyd's TH stock for the last 2-3 weeks. The final bedding goo is curing now. Tomorrow, we'll see if the action is permanently attached to the stock! Boarhog

Richard I'm with you the more shots the better. Very inventive wish you good luck with it. My barrel is back at p/n when I get it back I will send it and other parts out for black ice. And then I'll be getting in touch with you I want to try knurling some bullets that one of the members sent me to try. I have a drop to send off to get a adjustable die made. And I have to look into a ramrod.I'm really interested your new report on the new barrel although how are you going to decide with the external rifiling also ;D? Jon

I've tried to do the snakeskin a couple of times, but our blaster isn't set up with a regulator and it kept cutting the netting. Rich, you using "5R" or "Obermeyer" tape on the outside??? ;D
