rusty same contour so it should fit up nice. If not I'm sure you wouldn't have to remove much material.

I've got the laminate and it fit perfectly and was floated.

Rusty, as Richard suggested to me when I asked the same question, just wrap coarse sandpaper around an appropriately sized wooden dowel (I used PVC); the dowel will assure a smooth line throughout the channel. My own laminated stock did require inletting before a business card would slide freely.

Is Pac-Nor in the same league as other premier barrels, not cost wise, just in terms of quality

Edge, I have a P-N barrel on the 45, and I can't imagine, a better shooting rifle. What I was really asking, is the overall quality, I know I got a good one. But I haven't target shot, except at a 100 yards, the longest game shot 148 yds.
