First trip with Kool Rod. Shot from 9:30-10:30am, 6-12-10. Temp was 78-82, with 8mph x-wind. Shot Pac Nor 45 ten shots with the last group going into .9" three shot group. This was off temporary bench with hunting hold. The Kool Rod worked great. Thanks to Edge and Richard for the Kool Rod. I had both MLs and shot 17 times in an hour. First two three shot groups were 1.3" and 1.6", really did not take my time as I just wanted to shoot as fast as I could to test the Kool Rod. The last group I tried to control my breathing and get a good group and was very please getting this group after seven shot in less than 45 minutes. Load was 11/49 grs of N110/322, light blue Harvester sabot and .40 200gr SST, speed approximately 2600fps.

My first group shot with the Kool Rod with the stock 50 barrel, Tupperware Stock with 3" remove, two pounds added inside stock, Limbsaver slip-on. Load was .40XTP knurled to .4035, MMP 40/50 sabot, 35 grs of N110, Federal 209 primer. First group shot in less than 10 minutes .83". My second group I called a pulled shot and open my group to 3". The Kool Rod is the way to go when shooting in warm/hot weather. I used Herman's method and only wiped down the rod with towel and then paper towel. No swabbing barrel between shots. Still 17 shots in less than an hour between two MLs is great not having to spend 15-25 minutes between shots waiting for barrel to cool off.
