Well, I finally was able to get out and do some more shooting with the Knight Extreme. I had conducted an initial test of the Knight with a Lehigh Gen II plug installed in April and wanted to follow that up with a 'prove it' test. I have gone back to work so finding the time to get it done has been a problem, but the time presented itself today - so I headed to the farm this afternoon. The April test really was ran to test the cleanliness of the new Lehigh Generation II plug. That issue is no longer and issue for myself so not going to speak to much about how clean the plug is, but it sure is nice. The testing I was trying to conduct is how well the plug and vent liner work with BH. In my mind these two test confirm what i thought I already knew. The 'Vent Liner' is the key and the 'Plug' is clean in all of my Knights. For my tests to be complete I still need to shoot in some really cold weather and that will have to wait for awhile. Probably late December... What I was trying to confirm is that different primers do not have all that much of an effect on velocities created or instant ignition. There certainly are dofferences ion velocities, but again I am not weighing charges - I am using a powder volumn measure and dropping that into the bore. Here are the targets and the information... This is today's target This is the target from April....

thanks for the report. Testing primers has been on my list for awhile now, both with BH and smokeless.
btw, you sure have those Knights dialed in nice.

Haven't been looking at the sight very much due to health problems. Too many to go into them, one of which is very serious, but I trust in the Lord to see me through. It's funny to see the people starting to realize that Knights are one great ML'er. I like most fell for some of the advertisements for other ML'ers. Tony Knight built one fantastic shooting rifle, but I was never satisfied always looking for better acuracy which I never found with the others. Way back when I saw an advertisement for the MK-85 that had a very good write up but no available FS yet. I told my wife who was a purchasing agent for the loacal transit company in Maryland she found Tony Knight phone number, she called and spoke to tony wasn't aware of the details but but my birthday she gave me what I thought was a rifle I wanted but low and behold it was the MK-85 50 caliber Knight. Talk about my surprise they were not even FS yet. Talk about the inquirys I got at the range most of the members never even heard of the inline Knight, I couldn't believe the accuracy of the rifle after shooting it as did the mambers that saw what the MK-85 was capable of at 100 yards. Well opening day came and Imissed Deer several times. Just couldn't believe I missed after shooting so well at the range. So it was back to the range, as the first time shot great 1" groups or less at 100. I spoke to one of the members and explained my story, he suggested I remain constant longer as a ML'ers hang time is slower than a rifle. So monday morning same stand same Deer a plenty. About 70 yards I said to myself. Aim,steady, and follow through. Deer went right down so did a couple doe that afternoon. By realizing a ML'er has more hang time than a rifle. Ever since I kept this thought in mind. I really hope the people who bought Knight out does the very same that tony Knight did when he had the company. Well so much for the B.S. Lou

very interesting report mike,i wonder why the "weaker" primers acheived the higher FPS.maybe the hotter primers are slightly moving the bullet off the charge a little before powder ignition?i doubt your going to have any cold weather ignition problems seeing as knight's NFPJ has worked well for me down to 10*the lehigh should work even better with it's larger flashhole.nice shooting.........karl
