I have another .45 custom in the works and I have two stocks, one is a Ti and the other is an LVSF they both have R3 recoil pads on them, they are both defective and breaking down. They do have screws attaching them to the stock but I can't get them off by just loosening the screws, does anyone ( Rossman) know if there is an adhesive holding them as well. I was in touch with Remingtons rep here in Canada and they think that the whole stock has to be returned for replacement, I was hoping just to swap out the pads. thanks.

Smokeater, I am NO Rosserman and am not familiar with the stocks you mentioned. Are the synthetic or some wooden stocks are hollow, If the stocks are trash and you just want the recoil pads, You can saw the pads off real close to the stock and look and see inside if there is any glue. I have done this and taken a belt sander and sanded them down and the screws fell out. Just two from an old man who cares

I got a 22-250 rem sps with the R3 pad a couple years ago and a week later it started to melt.( this is a sims recoil pad which I have sent several back and they replaced )I took it off and sent it back to rem and they replaced it.

I haven't taken off a R3 pad on the newer Remmy stocks ether. IIRC some were glued and screwed specially on the synthetics.
