Their web site says it might not work. My bolt has a little bit wider lip on it and it makes putting the primer holder on tough but with the end of plastic screw driver it goes on, once you get it on you have to pry it off but it does come off. With BH 209 b+low back was maybe a little more than on my extreeme but if so just a hair more. It went bang everytime, primer fell out every time, the bolt seemed to stick just a bit after I fired but not bad. It shot the 250 xp's in the black mmp's really well. verdit is out on the 265 horn 44's.

rjhans53There is a problem with the manufactured tolerances allowed in the making of the Knight bolt. One of the more common problems is that the 'boss ring' in the nose of the is thicker on some than others. If the ring is to thick and the Lehigh installation slot is to narrow - installation problems occur. If that is your problem it can be fixed, but it will/would take a small alteration of to the face of your bolt. The likely problem is that the 'Boss Ring' on the end of the bolt is to thick, so the installation slot in the primer adaptor can not easily slide into place. The other problem can be the top of the primer adaptor does not have enough room from the inside of the 'Boss Ring' to the face of the bolt to allow the adapter to slide in easily. There is one more possibilty - but i will not know for sure if it is available untill the middle of next week

My understanding is that the Knight bolt on their Long Range Hunter and the Disc Extreme are interchangeable, and interchanging them does not cause a problem with Knight's breech plug.
So, if I am right about the interchangeability of the bolts, could you just purchase a Knight bolt that goes with the Extreme, and slip it into the Long Range Hunter? Or are people finding the thicker "boss ring" on the bolts that came with Disc Extremes?
I think Knight sells the bolt on its website, which I suspect goes with the Knight Extreme.
Wondering?

I have switch bolts and it works well. I just would be what knight is currently selling for bolts and the cost of it. I'll live with prying the primer holder in and out, heck for that mater my other 2 extreemes out shoot it any way (well with the 265's that I want to shoot for some strange reason).
