Looked at a thumbhole stocked Omega @ Cabelas yesterday. It was synth. camo. When I shouldered it I immediately noticed a more comfortable feel than with my synth. (reg.) stock. I looked at the lines of the stock more closely and I could see some cast off in the butt portion.Wondering if all of the Omega thumbhole stocks are like this, dosn't seem like the laminated ones would have this.

bigiron... I see what you mean. I currently have a syn thumbhole stock on my Omega. When I look at it from above.. it appears to have a cast off, but it's deceiving since the right side of the stock is so "dished" out for the thumbhole and the left side has a cheek piece that rolls over the top of the comb.
I still have the regular syn stock it came with... and I've tried the regular laminated...and can tell you the comb on the syn thumbhole is higher and gives me a nice, solid cheek weld for my scope. I definitely shoot better with the syn thumbhole.
Never tried the laminated thumbhole...but guys seem to like that one the best of all on the Omega.
