I just had a flash in the pan idea and wanted some input from the "intellects" on here.I have a Vari Flame adaptor from PR that I used to use w/T7. 5 gr of T7 fills the cup area of my Omega BP flush w/the surface.I'm thinking that since I know a SR primer will reliably lite T7,5gr of T7 should lite Blackhorn. A duplex(sort of)......5gr T7-100 to 115gr of BH. Using SR primers I never had to drill crud from the flash channel as w/209 primers.I plan on going the LR primer route from PR but for the time being thought this may just work. I originaly posted this on the other site and wanted to see if anyone here had imput as well. Back to top

I don't know what the flash hole diameter is in your Omega breechplug. I use small rifle primers in my converted Rem 700 ML's. exclusively. You may need to enlarge your flash hole to .035" in your breechplug and use a CCI 450 Mag small rifle. I use a Lehigh vent liner in my rifle and it lights off BH 209 every time. Since I get no crud ring in the barrel and have 22 lbs. of T7 that they cleared out at Walmart for $8, I use the T7. It groups better at higher velocities than does BH 209. But then your rifle probably has a tighter bore than the Remmy. This is just my 2 cents worth because I'm certainly not one of the intellects. Good Shooting!
