Well, to much idle time on my hands today. I decided to try another conversion, since I have several Knight Power Stem Breech Plugs. I have to give Spitpatch creadit for first suggesting the 'Flash Channel Volume' theory to me and more ar less verified by Busta's thoughts. This drawing should show what I am trying to sugggest when it comes to the volume of the 'flash Channel' Further Busta has suggested the vent liner installed as far forward in the breech plug might also be an asset. With this information and the fact that I really do prefer the FPJ system to the NFPJ system, I decided to use a Knight Power Stem to accomplish this conversion using the thoughts originally expressed by Spit and Busta, actually the my thoughts and I believe Spits thoughts came about because of the new Knigh Vision NPFJ plug that is very clean. Anyway headed to the shop with Power Stem in hand... You would not recognize it when it came back in the house.... Now I need some time to test it...

I have a Kight KRB7, with pretty much the same plug. The only difference I can see is, there is no stem. The forward part of the plug is convex instead of concave. I think this is the last plug Knight made. Anyway my KRB7 had slow ignition and terrible blow back. I had a machinist in reading Pa. drill out enough up front to have a lehigh Ventliner installed , as you have. I hadn't touched the flash channel. This corrected the slow ignition, but blow back still existed. I drilled out the primer pocket enough to fit an o ring in front of the primer. Trying this for blowback, ( no firing ) the primers were clean. Then something else went wrong, and I had to send the trigger assembly to night. I don't know how to include pics, but my plug looks as though the same guy did both. I will resume toying with plug when I get the ML back.

I am really hoping that the vent liner and the expanded 'flash channel' will help reduce some of the blow back. Hope to shoot it today or tomorrow. I am kinda modeling this conversion from the new Knight Breech Plug offered in the Vision, except that plug is a NFPJ.
