I hope the groundhog predicted better weather ahead for sw and ozark and those in those areas.

On my way in to work I passed a groundhog on the side of the road. He appeared to be doing the backstroke...I don't think that he will see his shadow again, but I doubt that will help in predicting Spring either edge.

This day is a holiday at my place. The dreaded woodchuck. Can't live with them and can't live without them. A guy needs summer targets ya know.
Not many chucks can make it across the Garden State pkwy without getting whacked Edge. The backstroke must be a popular event for those chucks. ;D

Don't have many of them woodchucks 'round here in Arkansas. However we got lots of them Armadillos to take their place. They are so us Arkansas rednecks can enjoy "Groundhog on the Halfshell". They are amazing. Only animal in the world that can get run over by a parked car.

Killed Armadillos when killed always end up on their back with all four feet sticking up in the air. One killed on a street here in Leslie gave someone an idea and many a laugh. I wish I had taken a picture. On its back as normal but someone had placed a beer can between its front feet and tilted it to its mouth. Redneck humor I suppose but I had to smile. The only reason a raccoon crosses the road is to prove to the Armadillo that it is possible.
