The Ohio DNR just released the figures that this years ML season was a record breaker, 17% over last years. I think a lot of it had to do with snow on the ground plus the fact more hunters during the ML season. Overall they have recorded 251,826 deer harvested as of 1-13-10 for this years season (season ends 2-7-10), last years record season was a total of 252,017. So if the bowhunters finish up well we could break the record again. Final figures for this years season should be released in mid February. The hot spot this year, Tuscarawas county. www.dnr.state.oh.us/Home/News/NewsReleaseArchives/tabid/19075/EntryID/1505/Default.aspxMyself it was a record with 5 (all does, but they are tasty) and no tag sandwich (unused tags). Plan on hitting it hard next year again starting with the early ML season.

rossman40, farm we hunted didn't help the records. We took total 6,of which I took 3.I still have buck tag to fill and couple for urban deer. I will give it an effort with a bow. To tell the truth, last day of ML season could've been another 2-3,but I missed them all at 20-30 yards. Snow we had I enjoyed, though. That is how I got so close to them. And then blew it all... Oh,well. I will be doing lot of off hand shooting before next season and for a reason. I agree-does are tasty.
