Hey - what are you guys using for your 45 cal quick loaders? I need something a little quicker and easier than what I am using. It seems I cant get all the powder in the hole half the time.....

I made a very small, folding funnel out of paper and duct tape.

Harley,
You can buy 18" clear tubes and end caps from Midway, than cut them to size, I have been using them for five or six years, at the range and on the hunt. Toby Bridges told me about them, works great, you want miss a grain.

Thanks, Bigmoose; you don't know how shaky I am. The funnel I made is smaller than my palm and folds flat around my powder vials. It really adds no time to loading a charge.

I use this in my 50. I would imagine it would work for a 45.
I hope to continue to develop my computer skills into the picture posting area soon. For now all I can offer is narrative.
I use a quick load marketed by Traditions. It orange and has a double cap with a partition inside. There is a place for a primer on each end, one 209 and the other a cap. In the end marked powder I put a 7mm WSM case with my single powder 70 gr H4198. I place the charge in the case and plug with an ear plug. This keeps the powder in the casing and prevents it from rattling at the same time. The neck of the casing will fit into the muzzle of your 45. The other end holds a TMZ 250 gr and supplied sabot, again with no rattling. Prior to the 250 TMZ I would also place an ear plug under the bullet/ sabot to prevent rattling. The 7mmWSM is close to its maximum powder capacity with 70 gr H4198 and still have some neck for the plug to hold.
