Same thing happened at my hunting cabin 2 years in a row.Between the wolves and starvation nary a deer survived.The cabin is 350 miles north of the US border on the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border.

lc: I often think how cold Fargo, North Dakota is and then I remember most of Canada is north of that. You guys are tough for sure.

You folks shouldn't be talking about how cold it is, Remember what Al Gore said its getting warmer, no one told that to Fairbanks, Alaska, the other day its was 50.6 below zero, that the temp. NO WIND CHILL I feel warmer just thinging about Al, PS, not that he needed any more money, he has made millions, hawking globally waming

Mike, having seen the picture a couple of times, I have to wonder what the deer are doing. The scene has the feel of desperation about it- deer that are spending lots of energy plowing through the snow, probably looking for anything to eat. Today, I was surprised that here in central N.Y. none of the deer are yarded up, but on the other hand quite a few deer trails were bloodied, and full of coyote tracks on the chase.
