The Knight Elite and Extreme plugs are done. I’m sending four out to be tested by other people for Lehigh. When they are done being tested they are ready to be sold. These plugs cannot use the old primer holder from Knight. The new plugs come with a primer holder, new plug, and a vent-liner. I have used them all hunting season with excellent results. No more burning scopes with this plug. And no ignition problems with BH209 using Lehigh recommended primers. Federal 209A and CCIM. I have not had time yet, but I really think the new plug will work with most primers. The ears on the primer holder have been changed. Lehigh rotated the position so any gasses making it back through the breech plug in the event of a catastrophic failure as from a plugged barrel would be vented down instead of at the shooters eye. This is unlikely to occur, but it does improve the safety. As you can see in the pic, there is more material on the Lehigh holder then the original Knight holder. The left one is a Lehigh. The right one is a Knight original holder. Here is three picture's of the Lehigh Primer holder installed in a Disc Elite. Here is three pics of the Knight original primer holder. You can see the gap in the original Knight version.

Grouse, What are the new primer holders made from? Is it a one piece for a naked primer? Do you have a pic.
Thanks John

I have the original plug. So does that mean I have to buy the whole extreme conversion? Bolt and all.

The primer holder is a seperate piece from the breech plug. It all comes together. I will take a pic later.

Grouse, Finally got in touch with Knight yesterday. $119.00 for the conversion kit to change the old disc to the new red jacket extreme set-up. By the time I buy the Lehigh plug & shipping I'll have over $150.00 in a gun that isn't worth that. I'm leaning toward retiring the old girl and buying a new Savage or CVA apex.

Grouse:
Thank you for the information. The plug and primer holder look good, and I like the vent liner idea. I am looking forward to purchasing and trying the Lehigh plug out.
