While the 45-70 barrel is at the smith getting a BP should I have the original TC crown changed. That original crown looks not so good for ML ing. What should the new crown be if one is necessary? Thanks, 10 ga

If it looks like it needs to be redone now is the time to change it. Not sure what you want it to be. If it is a tight bore you could go with a easy start crown. Or what you would like it to be you could go with a recessed or what ever you want. I am sure you have an idea of what you want it is yours do what you want.That way you will be happy with it.

I really, really really like the "QLA" or false muzzle on my SMI barrel. I know sometimes production model tolerances may be less than desired leading to accuracy issues, but if your smith feels this isn't a problem, I'd highly recommend one.
