I would like to thank Shooter on this board for the gun I purchased from him. It is a used pre-Accu trigger that was in great shape. He and Rossman had 3rd action screw and bedded. My first group with this gun at 100 was 1.3" with the load shooter had recommend, 42gr of 4759 x mmp12 x 250SST. I purchased this gun for my son who will be seven in March, he has already killed three deer.with my(now his) .243. I am going to purchase a synthetic stock to cut down or a youth stock and replace the Leupold with a Burris Signature 1.5 x 6 with Electro-Dot(red dot). Not that the Leupold is a bad scope but he does much better with the red dot as this is what I have on my(his) .243. I will keep the Laminated stock for when he gets older and taller. I tried a couple of reduced loads with 35 gr of 5744 and 200SST(2" group) and 250 XTP(2.5" group). I will keep his shots under 100 yards this year and increase his range as his shooting skills increase. Also this gun being pre-Accu trigger seemed to have a smoother barrel than my other two stock 50 barrels that never shot this good, that were Accu-trigger, seems as if I read where someone else had a pre-Accu-trigger and an Accu-trigger and they also though the older gun had a smoother barrel, this may be Rossman's work as he PMed me that he had also JB polished the barrel.
