I kind of like the TMZ by Barnes. Tipped and boat tailed all in one. I am fairly certain that if my ML didn't like them neither would I.
Some have had accuracy problems with the boat tail bullets. You really have to figure out what your ML likes.

I shoot the Remington 300 JHP
Because 1 to 1.5 MOA accuracy $30.00 per 100 I don't shoot over 200 yards An if I do my part they perform very well at book load speeds.

Don't forget the 300 gr Barnes Original. That's a semi-spitzer bullet with a pointy nose. Also the hornady SSTs which are the same as the TC shockwaves.

Don't forget all the Parker BE shooters. They're all tippy too!

I have long been a fan of boat tailed bullets in center fire rifles but, if a sabot is going to be used it must be specifically made for the bullet. Wrong sabot and the boat tailed bullets may keyhole and the group at 25 yards may need a bed sheet size target to tell where bullets are going. Been there, first hand experience.

well as you see there are many other choices. it is all what works in your gun and the performance of the bullet. The Hornady SSTs 250 grn can grenade at higher speeds. but alot like and shoot the 300 grn SSTs. they seeem to hold together better. then you have the bonded T/C shock wave and several like that in 250 grn. I too shoot the Knight TMZs in 290 grn and have gotten good accuracy but there are thoes that have not got any accuracy out of them. Unfortunately you just have to try and see.
